Hello all! (or my family and closest friends 😉
It’s 10 days into the new year and I haven’t accomplished much. After the Key West Tri on 12/1 I took a couple weeks off to give my knee and ankle a real rest. I started training again and then I got sick the weekend after Christmas. Like couldn’t really breathe flu, cold, plague whatever. Could barely walk. So I’ve barely worked out. My cold has finally eased a bit. but then I got the world’s dumbest injury a few days ago. Yup. Totally hurt myself SLEEPING. You read that write. I woke up on Sunday morning unable to turn my head or torso. awesome. I probably did it at work. We were super busy and I was hauling kayaks and paddleboards in and out of the rack like it was my job. Which it was. Is. Anyway, then I slept wrong and oh lordy. today was the first day I felt close to normal. Physically that is 😉
I’ve made some real positive steps though despite the limited workouts. I’ve kept to the diet pretty well over all. I’ve lost more weight. When it gets legit, I’ll let you know how much. You’ll know when you see a photo of me skydiving. I’m too big right now but the second I fall below that line, I’m falling out of a plane!
I’ve signed up for the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in April. I’ve got the FKCC Sprint Tri in March. Time to step things up a couple of notches. I’m determined to actually run the 5k portion March 23rd. Stay tuned…..
